Essentia-Tech

A software company built around the essence of an app — what it's actually for, stripped of everything else. We design clean, modern applications that take privacy seriously, built with modern engineering practice.

Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 September 2026

The short version: every app we make keeps your data on your own device. We don't run a server that stores it, we don't have user accounts, and we don't sell, share, or profit from your data in any way — there's simply nowhere for it to go unless you send it somewhere yourself.

Our approach

Essentia Tech builds small, single-purpose apps — each one does exactly the one job it's for, nothing more. That scope keeps the data each app needs small too: CardKeeper only ever needs your cards, RenewOrNot only your subscriptions, and so on. None of it needs to leave your phone for the app to work.

We don't build accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync into an app unless there's a real benefit to you that can't be had any other way — so far, none has needed one. No app shows ads or contains an advertising or analytics SDK.

What stays on your device

Whatever you enter — cards, subscriptions, notes, recipes, warranties — is stored locally in the app's own database. It's never uploaded to us, because we don't operate any server for an app to upload it to. It's gone the moment you delete it or uninstall the app.

Some apps look up something small to help you — a brand's logo, a recipe page's contents — which means a network request to a third-party service for that one piece of information. Most app requests, and to whom, is documented on that app's own privacy page (linked below); the answer for every one so far is "nothing personal, only what's already public."

Backup & export, entirely on your terms

Apps that support it let you export your data to a single file you can optionally protect with a password of your own choosing. We never see that password and can't recover it if you lose it. Where you keep the exported file — a cloud drive, a USB stick, only local on your phone — is entirely your call.

Free and Pro

Where an app has a paid Pro unlock, it's a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing for a usage limit or extra feature — never for access to more of your data, and never a subscription to us. Google, not us, processes that payment; see Google's privacy policy for how they handle it.

Your rights

Because we don't hold your data on any server, there's usually nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf — you already have full access to all of it, directly on your device, at any time. If you ever have a question about a specific app's handling of your data, or believe we're missing something, contact us below.

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date above. Continuing to use an app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
